Alternative Project Delivery
Alternative project delivery maximizes the positive outcomes of a project by using custom methods developed to streamline design and construction, reduce risks, and provide opportunities for innovation. This process can make projects more innovative, faster, and more affordable.
I-15 South Design-Build
Las Vegas, Nevada
CA Group was part of the Design-Build team that constructed improvements to I-15 from Tropicana Avenue to Silverado Ranch Boulevard. The project included widening the roadway, adding collector-distributor roads; constructing a ramp from Blue Diamond Road to I-15; redesigning five interchanges; relocating utilities; and constructing 26 new bridge structures, 35 retaining walls, and one and a half miles of sound walls.
I-11 Boulder City Bypass Phase 2
Southern Nevada, Nevada
CA Group was the lead designer for the I-11 Boulder City Bypass project. The project designed 12 miles of roadway through the native desert and mountainous terrain for I-11 between US 95 and US 93 near Boulder City, Nevada. Design components included a new controlled access freeway, interchanges, 11 bridges, drainage structures, signing, pavement marking, and ITS. The project was awarded APWA’s 2019 National Project of the Year for transportation projects over 75 million dollars.
I-15 North Design-Build
Las Vegas, Nevada
The I-15 North Corridor is an approximately 15-mile-long corridor along I-15 from US 95 to Apex Interchange. CA Group assisted with preparing the traffic operations analysis, preliminary design review, and a phasing plan to break up the project into several stand-alone projects.
West Davis Corridor Design-Build
Davis County, Utah
West Davis is a new 16-mile highway that will be constructed in western Davis County between the I-15/Legacy Parkway junction at approximately Glovers Lane in Farmington and the future extension of SR 193 in West Point. CA Group provided the preliminary alternative alignments, traffic analysis, traffic modeling services, and support for the maintenance of traffic design.
Henderson Interchange Design-Build Program Management
The Henderson Interchange (I-11/I-515/I-215) was updated to accommodate increasing traffic demands in the area by improving operations, capacity, and safety. Improvements were constructed from Galleria Drive to Horizon Drive on I-515, from Wagenen Street to Valley Verde Drive along Lake Mead Parkway, and on I-215. CA Group conducted the alternatives analysis of multiple freeway configurations and recommended a build alternative to be further evaluated.
