At C A Group we take great pride in our ability to assist our clients with any transportation challenge. Our experience ranges from large freeway programs to local roadways, no project is too difficult, all of our projects are as important to us as they are to their owner. Our representative project experience includes:

Transit System Planning and Design

Las Vegas Monorail Las Vegas Monorail Extension to McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, NV

C A Group is assisting the Las Vegas Monorail Company with planning, permitting, alternatives analysis and preferred alternative design to provide a monorail connection to McCarran International Airport. The monorail extension would connect to the existing LV Monorail at the MGM Hotel; extend easterly across Koval Lane, across Tropicana Avenue and onto McCarran International Airport. The monorail guideway will be depressed into a tunnel section as it crosses Runways 19L&R, it would then head south to a new station at Terminal 1 and then east to the new Terminal 3 station. The total length of the extension would be approximately 3 miles.

Maglev Project California – Nevada Interstate Maglev Project, Anaheim, CA to Las Vegas, NV

C A Group is part of a team developing environmental documents for a “Super Speed” maglev system from Anaheim, CA to Las Vegas, NV. NDOT is serving as the lead state agency supporting the bi-state California Super Speed Train Commission with a site specific EIS for the Primm to Las Vegas segment and a Program Level EIS for the complete system. C A Group is assisting another firm with the overall project management and local government liaison services for the project.

DesertXpress High Speed Train Project, Victorville to Las Vegas, NV

The DesertXpress project is a 170 mile high speed rail between Victorville, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. The DesertXpress will utilize proven, off-the-shelf European steel wheel on rail high-speed trains, customized for the unique setting of the corridor. The electric multiple unit cars can travel at speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour. The project has completed its Draft EIS and preliminary engineering. The next phase of the project is the development of a public private partnership to design, build and operate the system.

C A Group as a subconsultant to another firm prepared a capital cost estimate for the proposed DesertXpress rail project from Victorville, California to Las Vegas, Nevada. C A Group was responsible for earthwork, grading, drainage, retaining walls, trackwork and miscellaneous features.
